The short version (plain English)
This summary is here to help you. The full terms below are what count.
- You must be 18 or older to use Content Forge.
- You own what you upload and what you make, as far as the law allows. You give us permission to store and process it so the service works.
- Only upload people who agreed. If a real person's face, body or voice is in your upload, you need their permission. No sexual content of real people. Nothing sexual involving anyone under 18, ever.
- AI makes mistakes. Pictures, video, voices and text are made by AI. Check them before you publish. AI output can look like other people's work; you're responsible for how you use it.
- Credits: you buy credits, spend them on pictures, video and sound. Unused credits from a pack can be refunded within 14 days. Plans renew monthly; cancel anytime; no partial-month refunds. Details in the Refund Policy.
- Payments go through Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Our staff can look at your projects for support, safety and moderation. They don't browse for fun, and we keep it confidential.
- We can suspend accounts that break these rules.
- You can delete your account anytime (Account → Delete my account…).
- New Jersey law applies.
1. Agreement
By creating an account, signing in, buying anything, or using Content Forge on the web (7thlettermedia.com and its subdomains), in the iPhone/iPad app "7LM Forge" or in the Android app "7LM Content Forge" (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you can bind that company, and "you" includes it.
2. Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher).
- You must not be barred from using the Service under U.S. law.
- One person per account. Keep your sign-in private; you're responsible for activity on your account.
3. The Service
Content Forge is an online studio that uses artificial intelligence ("AI") to help you write stories and scripts, make storyboard pictures, make video, voices, music and sound, and edit your own footage into finished videos. We also sell done-for-you packages where our team makes a video for you.
- We may add, change or remove features. We'll give reasonable notice before removing a feature you've paid for, and a fair refund if we can't provide something you prepaid.
- The Service may be unavailable at times (maintenance, outages, provider problems). We don't promise it will always be up.
- Beta or "preview" features are marked, may change, and are provided as-is.
4. Your account and sign-in
- Sign-in is provided by Wix (7thlettermedia.com member login). Wix's own terms apply to that login.
- Some features are limited while we grow. We may approve, limit or refuse accounts.
- Tell us right away at brientdougherty@7thlettermedia.com if you think someone else is using your account.
5. Your content
"Your Inputs" are things you give us: photos, video, audio, voice recordings, scripts, screenplays, prompts, notes, reference pictures, comments and any files you import (for example from Google Drive). "Outputs" are things the Service makes for you: stories, scene lists, pictures, video, voices, music, sound effects, edits and exports.
5.1 Ownership
- You keep ownership of Your Inputs.
- As between you and us, you own your Outputs, and we assign to you any rights we have in them, subject to your paying for them and following these Terms.
- We don't promise that any Output is protectable, unique, or that nobody else will get something similar.
5.2 Permission you give us
You give 7th Letter Media a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display and modify Your Inputs and Outputs only as needed to run, support, secure and improve the Service for you, including sending them to our AI service providers to make your Outputs (see the Privacy Policy). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law or that sit in backups until they cycle out.
- We do not use Your Inputs or Outputs to train AI models. If we ever offer that, it will be a separate opt-in, off by default.
- We don't use your content in our marketing (website, ads, app-store screenshots) without your written permission.
5.3 Personal vs commercial use
- Free trial and Creator plan: personal, non-commercial use. Trial exports may carry a watermark.
- Pro and Studio plans, packages, and the Commercial license add-on: commercial use of Outputs from that plan, package or project.
5.4 Your promises about Your Inputs
You promise that:
- You own Your Inputs or have every permission needed to upload and use them, including music, footage, logos and scripts.
- Likeness and voice consent. For every real, identifiable person whose face, body, voice or name appears in Your Inputs, or whom you ask the Service to depict or imitate, you have that person's permission (or their parent or guardian's, for a minor) to use their likeness and voice this way, including to make AI-generated pictures, video and voices of them. You'll show us that permission if we ask.
- Your Inputs and your use of Outputs don't break any law or anyone's rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or likeness rights, defamation).
6. Rules: what you may not do
You may not use the Service to make, upload, store or share:
- Any sexual content involving a minor, or anyone who looks like a minor. Zero tolerance. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement, and close the account.
- Sexual or nude content of a real, identifiable person, including "deepfakes", whether or not you have their consent.
- Sexual or explicit content in the iPhone/iPad or Android apps. The apps don't allow mature content at all.
- Content that depicts a real person saying or doing something they didn't, presented as real, to deceive, defraud, harass or damage them, or to mislead voters about an election.
- Voice cloning of anyone without their permission.
- Harassment, threats, bullying, hate content that attacks people for protected traits, or content that encourages self-harm.
- Real, graphic violence against real people, terrorist or violent-extremist content, or instructions for weapons, drugs or crimes. (Fictional violence in a film story is fine.)
- Content that infringes copyright or trademarks, or that you don't have the rights to.
- Spam, scams, malware, phishing, or impersonating people or brands.
- Anyone else's private information (doxxing).
You also may not:
- try to get around our safety checks, content filters, credit limits or invite system;
- share, sell or resell your account or credits;
- scrape, overload, reverse-engineer or attack the Service, or access it by automated means except through features we provide;
- use the Service or its Outputs to build a competing AI product or dataset.
6.1 How we enforce the rules
- The Service uses automatic checks (for example, a sexual-content check on pictures and video) and human review. Our staff may look at projects to investigate a report or a flag.
- We may block a generation, remove content, pause or close an account, and keep records, if we reasonably believe the rules were broken. Credits used on blocked content aren't refunded if the content broke the rules.
- Report a problem: email brientdougherty@7thlettermedia.com. If content shows you and you didn't agree to it, tell us and we'll act promptly.
6.2 Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent: DMCA Agent, 7THLETTERMEDIA LLC, 155 Willowbrook Blvd, Suite 110, Wayne, NJ 07470, brientdougherty@7thlettermedia.com, with the details required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). We'll remove infringing content and close repeat infringers' accounts.
7. AI-generated content: what to expect
- AI Outputs can be wrong, strange, biased, or offensive, and can differ each time. Text may contain factual errors.
- Outputs may resemble existing people, characters, brands or works. Check before you publish or sell anything.
- You're responsible for how you use Outputs, including labelling them as AI-generated where a platform or law requires it.
- Our AI works through third-party providers (for example Google, fal.ai and the models it hosts, and ElevenLabs). They may decline to make something; if a provider declines, we'll tell you.
- Cost is shown before paid generations. The credit price of a request is the price shown when you confirm.
8. Credits, plans, packages and payment
Full detail is in the Refund Policy. In short:
- Credits are a prepaid way to use AI features (list value about 1 cent each). Credits are a license to use the Service, not money: they have no cash value, can't be transferred or sold, and can't be exchanged for cash except as the Refund Policy says.
- Free trial credits are a gift. They can be changed or withdrawn, and have no refund value.
- Purchased top-up credits don't expire while your account is open.
- Plans (monthly subscriptions) renew automatically each month, charging your payment method, until you cancel. Plan credits arrive each month; unused plan credits roll over for one month, then expire. You can cancel anytime in Account → Manage plan (Stripe's customer portal). Your plan stays active until the end of the month you've paid for. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of any price change, and you can cancel before it applies.
- Packages (done-for-you videos) are priced per order and described on the pricing page.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms. Prices are in U.S. dollars. Sales tax is added where required.
- App-store purchases: if you buy anything through Apple's App Store or Google Play, that store's payment terms and refund process apply to that purchase.
- Chargebacks: if you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us, we may pause the account while it's resolved.
9. Staff access and privacy
Our team (the owner and authorized staff or contractors, all bound to confidentiality) can open your account and projects to give you support, fix bugs, check safety reports, moderate content, prevent fraud, and meet legal duties. The Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why.
10. Ending or deleting your account
- You can stop using the Service anytime. To delete your account and data, use Account → Delete my account… in the web app or apps, or the public Delete my account page (
/forge/delete-accounton our website). We finish deletion within 30 days. You can withdraw the request before it's done. - Deleting your account deletes your projects and uploads. Unused credits are lost unless a refund applies under the Refund Policy. Asking to delete your account stops your plan from renewing: you keep it until the end of the month you've paid for, and you aren't charged again.
- We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if required by law, or if we stop offering the Service. If we close the Service entirely, or close your account without cause, we'll refund unused purchased credits and prepaid, unstarted packages.
- Sections 5.1, 5.4, 6, 7, 11–15 survive after the account ends.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We don't promise Outputs will be accurate, original, fit for your purpose, or free of third-party rights. Keep your own copies of anything important: storage can fail and some storage has a set lifetime shown when you buy it.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS:
- WE WON'T BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL.
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ABOUT THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (a) WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (b) US $100.
Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
13. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of Your Inputs, how you used Outputs, or your breaking these Terms or the law (for example, using someone's likeness without consent), you'll defend and cover us for the reasonable costs, including lawyers' fees.
14. Law and disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey and U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
- Talk to us first: email brientdougherty@7thlettermedia.com and give us 30 days to try to fix it.
- Then, disputes go to the state or federal courts in Passaic County, New Jersey, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either of us may use small-claims court if the claim qualifies.
15. App store terms
If you got the app from Apple's App Store:
- These Terms are between you and 7th Letter Media, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content.
- Your license to the app is limited to using it on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store Terms allow.
- Apple has no duty to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to meet a warranty, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the app's purchase price (the app is free, so that's $0). Otherwise Apple has no warranty obligation.
- Apple isn't responsible for claims about the app (product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection, intellectual property). We are, as these Terms say.
- You confirm you're not in a U.S.-embargoed country or on a U.S. prohibited-parties list.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
If you got the app from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply to your download, and Google isn't responsible for the app.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we'll tell you by email or in the Service at least 14 days before it takes effect (sooner only if the law or safety requires). Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new Terms. If you don't agree, stop using the Service and cancel any plan.
17. Everything else
- These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
- If a part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- Not enforcing a right isn't giving it up.
- You can't transfer these Terms; we can, as part of a merger, sale or reorganization.
- Neither of us is liable for delays caused by things outside reasonable control (outages at providers, natural disasters, etc.).
- Notices to you go to your account email; notices to us go to brientdougherty@7thlettermedia.com and 155 Willowbrook Blvd, Suite 110, Wayne, NJ 07470.
